On Sundays in the Palace Garden (Paleistuin) is the election ‘Princess and Knight of the Day’. The Shows – this year also with a genuine Knight Game on Horses – take place on the Lange Voorhout. On Sunday the Final Parade is closed with cannon shots.
The Binnenhof is one of the oldest seats of government that is still in use in the world! To ensure that it can continue serving this purpose into the future, the Binnenhof will undergo major renovations from 2020 to 2025. On Saterday 14 September it is Open Monument Day and you can visit the Government on the Binnenhof. Also this weekend is the Prinsjesfestival with the official exercises of Prinsjesdag on the Lange Voorhout and the Binnenhof and activities on Saterday on Het Plein (Square behind the Binnenhof).
